‘Rines golf season is underway
The Wolverine golf season is under way and the team is very excited to get back to the green to get back on track from last year.
With upcoming tournaments this year, the team looks to have a strong start to the season with some newcomers to the team. The ‘Rines gained 3 new teammates to the golf team with returning head coach Richard Riley. “The main goal for this year was to grow as a team, and to get players out there and win a couple matches”, said Riley. “The best thing about this team is the energy, they work hard and compete every single day.”
Last year the team only had 2 players to compete, but this year the Rines have a full team and are ready to play golf again. The Wolverines have returning players including senior Alexander Labeach, who is trying to improve from last year now having more teammates. “It’s great to be able to play with a full team this year. Expectations for this year is to become better golfers as a team, and to make sure the golf program is here for many years,” Labeach added.
The golf team has played 3 tournaments so far, but they play again tomorrow, September 13 at Falls road Golf Course, so come out and support our Wolverines to victory.
