Ever since I was little there has been one thing that my family and I can’t agree on: who is the best at video games and the true victor. Of course we have tried to test it before by playing games like Naruto Storm 4, Mario Kart, Street Fighter, and even Flappy Bird. To give my family a fair chance I decided to ask my older sister to rank what games she truly believes in her heart she can best me at from “Most Definitely” to “No Chance”, knowing that it is almost impossible for this fantasy dream to come true.
Most definitely: Soul Calibur 1995- 2018
Starting it off strong is good old Soul Calibur. To sum it up for any non-gamers out there, Soul Calibur is a fighting game franchise developed by Bandai Namco Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, and its primary goal is to see me suffer as I try almost every combo in the book and still lose. Meanwhile, she’ll hit me with every combo in the book and still not run out of moves to pull to embarrass me.
She would lock in hard.. so yeah: Dead Or Alive 6 – 2019
Continuing with the theme of what my sister could destroy me in, is Dead Or Alive. This is–you guessed it–another fast-paced 3D fighting game, produced by Koei Tecmo Games, featuring stunning graphics and multi-tiered stages. To be frank, she could ONLY beat me if she were to lock in and actually focus on the game instead of listening to the terrible trash talk I do, trying to distract as I make an opening for my character to attack.
Depends on my mood: Demon Slayer Hinokami Chronicles – 2024
Coming next is a game that for my family all comes down to chance, Demon Slayer Hinokami Chronicles. This is no other fighting game; it is the demon slayer fighting game created after the famous Anime “Demon Slayer” and developed by CyberConnect2. It has a total of 24 fighters and my wonderful sister always seems to think she can beat me because she uses Shinobo but unfortunately for her I am not to have an very competitive spirit and every time she says “One more game” just makes want to beat her times harder.
P.S I am beating her playfully, don’t recommend you do this with any competitive siblings without proceeding with caution
No Chance: Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate ninja storm 4/ Road to Boruto 2016 – 2017
Saving the best for last is a game that my sister couldn’t beat me in even if I were to tie my hands behind my back: Naruto. This is an fighting game made in Japan developed by CyberConnect2 that is also the primary reason that “You Cheated!” has become my sister’s new catchphrase. This game has 106 playable characters and 121 with the Road to Boruto DLC expansion pack. After playing with my sister countless times I still don’t know what’s worse: the fact she only won against me about 15 times or that most of my wins I beat with LEGIT CHILDREN lol.
If you enjoyed my little rant and are not totally sick of me by now, consider me flattered.
Until I have another rant to bore you with,
KAT
