Sports Wrap-Up: December 13, 2018
Girls Basketball
Girls basketball lost after a hard fight versus Thomas Johnson Patriots last night December 12. The team lost 52-12 after a very long game with dedication from both sides.
The ‘Rines plan to bounce back at their next game December 14 at home versus Clarksburg at 5:30pm.
“I’m still excited about the season,” sophomore Isis Obolebsky said. “We are still a new team and have a lot of time to improve.”
Boys Basketball
Watkins Mill boys basketball traveled last night to play Frederick opponent Thomas Johnson. Unfortunately, the boys came up short with a loss with a score of 69-59.
“Our team chemistry grew and once we bond more, we will be unstoppable,” senior Andy Deleon said. Despite the loss, the boys look forward to this Friday for rival Clarksburg right here at the Mill.
Come out and support this Friday at Watkins Mill as the girls play at 5:30pm and the boys at 7:15pm.
