Sports Wrap Up: April 27
Softball
‘Rines softball fought hard against the Richard Montgomery Rockets yesterday, April 26 in the den. The ‘Rines played tough, but let the Rockets pull away in the end, falling to the Rockets by a final score of 16-2. Come and watch our ‘Rines face county rival Clarksburg high school tomorrow, April 28 at Clarksburg at 2:00 pm.
Baseball
Wolverines baseball looked to tackle the Richard Montgomery Rockets yesterday, April 27. The team battled but wasn’t able to keep up with the Rockets on offense, falling 16-1. ‘Rines baseball will play there next game tomorrow, April 28 at Clarksburg high school at 1:00 pm where the team looks to bounce back from yesterday’s tough loss.
Boys Lacrosse
Boys lacrosse fell short to the Clarksburg Coyotes with a score of 7-5 yesterday, April 26. The Wolverines started off strong with a hardworking defense and by halftime was leading the Coyotes 5-1. In the end the ‘Rines fell short, but kept their heads up. The ‘Rines next game will next Monday, April 30 at home where they look to take down the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons at 7:15 pm.
Girls Lacrosse
Wolverines girls lacrosse took on the Clarksburg Coyotes yesterday, April 26 at home. The team went into game filled with intensity and immediately jumped on the Coyotes. It was a nail biter until the end, with the lead changing multiple times throughout the game, but the ‘Rines were able to come out on top beating the Coyotes by a final score of 13-11. The girls lacrosse team looks to keep up this intensity at their next game this Monday, April 30 at 7:30 pm against the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons.
