Sports Wrap Up: December 19
Boys Basketball
The ‘Rines boys basketball team were defeated by the Walter Johnson Wildcats on Monday December 18. This fall only motivates them for their next game against Einstein High School.
“We need to be more disciplined as a team’ senior Liam Thomas said in hopes of improving as a whole.
Make sure to come out to tomorrow’s game at 7:15 PM at the Titan’s court. Go ‘Rines!
Girls Basketball
Watkins Mill girls basketball fell short to Walter Johnson High School yesterday, December 18 with a losing score of 20-55.
During the first quarter, the Wolverines were doing a good job holding the Wildcats with good defense. However, after the first half things went downhill from there. Senior captain Princess Frazier hit her head on the court floor and was immediately taken out the game. Besides Frazier’s fall, it began to become apparent that the team was struggling.
“People were missing assignments,” senior Connie Moody said.
The ‘Rines still plan to work on defense for their next game which will be tomorrow, December 20 at home against the Einstein Titans.
