After years of hard work and dedication, three seniors recently signed their National Letter of Intent on Friday, November 10 after school with their friends and family by their sides.

Seniors Katherine Campbell, Kevin Finn and Lucas Richards have played on club and high school teams for baseball or lacrosse each year of their high school career. On November 10, everything finally paid off. Each of these seniors officially committed to their intended college by signing their NCAA National Letter of Intent while their friends, family and coaches watch.

Campbell will be attending Shepherd University in the fall to play lacrosse. “I’m very happy that my eight years of lacrosse paid off,” Campbell said. “I can finally reach my goal of playing in college.”

Finn committed to go to Wilson College to play baseball. Finn was looking forward to signing his letter all day. When he finally did, a sense of stress-free relief hit him. “This is something I’ve been striving towards since I first started playing baseball,” Finn said.

Richards will be attending Coppin State University for baseball also. While signing his letter of intent, a lot of thoughts went through his mind. It finally hit him that all of his hard work has paid off in the end. “This is what all the hard work, practices and off-season workouts have been about. To get me to where I am now,” Richards said.

After the signing, all three of the seniors took pictures with their current high school coaches. They then celebrated with sparkling cider and cupcakes. Their friends and family cheered for their loved ones as they completed the last steps in the college recruiting process.
