Chuck E Cheese’s provides fun for kids, spending money for teenagers

AHH, IT’S A MOUSE!!!

You don’t need a trap for this one, guys.

During the day, Watkins Mill High School students are learning, but once that bell rings they are off to the games and screaming kids at Chuck E. Cheese’s.

Senior Stefania Valencia has been working at Chuck E. Cheese’s for the last year. After wanting to continue her family tradition, she got the job on the spot. After two days of being interviewed, she was now in for a treat. Valencia describes her job as fun, her co-workers as fun “to be around,” and added that she “enjoys the little kids.”

Senior Chemmel Bowrin landed her job at Chuck E. Cheese’s after a month of the interview process. The application process was described as “easy, simple, and not many questions.” She said her job is fun and a positive environment, and after six months of working there, her favorite part of being at Chuck E. Cheese’s seems to be the food.

Working at Chuck E. Cheese’s can help fulfill school requirements as well.  Senior Rebeca Amaya started working at Chuck E. Cheese’s about three months ago when she needed a job for internship. Amaya thinks so many Watkins Mill students are employed there is because “everyone gets informed.” Amaya’s favorite part of working is when the kids get to pick their prizes.

Junior Denzel Walker has been working for Chuck E. Cheese’s for two-and-a-half months and finds the job stress relieving. His favorite part about working there are the live shows.  He thinks his job is fun and encourages Watkins Mill students to apply there.

These students all have a piece of advice for future employees. Valencia said you should have fun working and enjoy yourself. Bowrin said, “Always come on time,” and always smile. Amaya believes you should do your job and do not slack. Walker’s advice is to not be slow, be patient and have fun.

Say cheese!
