Watkins Mill varsity football faces Clarksburg at the Homecoming game.

The Watkins Mill’s varsity football team played their hearts out on September 28 at the homecoming game against Clarksburg. The ‘Rines started with the ball and dominated the game, but ultimately fell to the Coyotes with a heartbreaking final score of 13-15.

Students showed their school spirit by showing up in school colors. The WM stadium was packed with students, parents, alumni, and staff who came to show their love and support for the football team. The Watkins Mill Cheer team was joined by alumni from 2004 who helped them cheer during the game.

Halftime featured performances from poms and the WM marching band. The winners of the homecoming court were also announced. Congratulations to senior Rina Nasser and junior Michelle Baide as homecoming queens!

The team played a fantastic game and fought hard. Show your support at their next match at Blake High School on Friday!
