Helena’s fresh song recommendations to listen to during summer
Enjoy listening to music and waiting for summer to come? Well, I got you covered! Here are six songs you can listen to whenever during the summer! It’s your season and time to shine!
- Spicy – AESPA
Now, I know what you’re thinking, a K-Pop song? Let me defend myself. In my opinion, this song is PERFECT for summer. It’s a dance song that will hype you up! This song confused me at first until I listened to it multiple times. Now, I cannot stop listening to it! I would definitely recommend adding it to your playlist.
2. Dance The Night – Dua Lipa
The Barbie Movie is coming out on July 21, 2023 and everyone is looking forward to it! This disco song is a part of the Barbie album. This song would make you sway side to side like you’re on a dance floor surrounded by people.
3. Queencard – (G)I-DLE
Another K-Pop song? Yes. Now, this song is pretty funny, in my opinion. It’s confusing, but witty since it talks about self-love (as a woman). They mention celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande. Crazy, right? But this song is very upbeat and catchy, especially the chorus. The dance is easy and fun too!
4. Girls Like Me Don’t Cry – Thuy
Do you like more laid-back music? Well, I got you! It is an upbeat R&B and soul song that you can vibe to—maybe even in the car when driving! Thuy is a fantastic singer-songwriter. I suggest you check her other songs out!
5. Eve, Psyche, and The Bluebeard’s Wife – LE SSERAFIM
This song is so catchy, I swear. I love the dance and how the lyricism connects to their lore. This funk, electropop, and disco song can serve as a motivational boost to work out during the summer. You can play it in the gym (or at home) while working out.
6. Nonsense – Sabrina Carpenter
You have probably heard this pop song on TikTok since it became a popular dance trend. It went global to the point that celebrities danced too! It’s laid-back with some sweet tunes!
