The Science National Honors Society (SNHS) demonstrated a laboratory experiment on “elephant tooth paste” to honors, pre-International Baccalaureate (IB), and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) biology classes today, February 16, 2023.

SNHS has a total of nine student members, yet this project reached a total of 250 participants, including the biology students.  The elephant tooth paste project offered members an opportunity to develop their leadership skills, explore their interest in science, and showcase their laboratory skills.

As the SNHS members presented their lab, they explained the biological process of homeostasis to the students, connecting scientific knowledge to real hands-on experimental applications.
