Wrestling played strong during their tournament Friday, January 12 and Saturday, January 13, were they played different schools from all over Maryland. Rines’ gave their best effort, battling to win first place in their weight class.

“We fought hard throughout the tournament, personally I thought I played hard and smart. I gave it my all and played with great effort and overall it showed when I won first place in my weight class,” senior Selom Kalin said.

Boys Basketball

The boys basketball team fell this past Tuesday to the Poolesville Falcons by a final score of 48-41.

“We didn’t finish enough in the fourth quarter, or give it all [that game],” said senior Eric Polea. “All we [need to] do is work on our finishing.”

The ‘Rines look to get back in their winning ways next Tuesday, January 23, at Magruder High School at 7:15pm so come out and support our ‘Rines to victory.
