Girls Soccer

The Wolverines fell short to the Quince Orchard Cougars last Thursday, October 19, losing 5-2. The ‘Rines played a great game but couldn’t come up with the points to match in their last game of the regular season. Junior captain Annie Riley scored the two goals for the team. “We picked it up in the second half and got two goals in the back of the net. Now we just have to tie up loose ends and get ready for playoffs,” Riley said.

The ‘Rines will advance to the playoffs and seek redemption against the Rockville Rams as this will be the second time the team matches up against the Rams this season. The game will be at Rockville at 6:30pm.

Boys Soccer

The boys soccer team finished out the regular season with their second straight win, shutting out the Quince Orchard Cougars last Thursday, October 19, by a score of 2-0.

The ‘Rines wrapped up the season with an impressive win against the Cougars. They worked hard to get the victory and are ready for the postseason. “First half we didn’t play that [well], but second half we started communicating more and started dominating the game,” senior captain Nelson Conteras said.

The Wolverines look to stay hot as the postseason starts this Thursday, October 26, against the Westminster Owls, so come and support our ‘Rines at home at 6pm.
