Field Hockey

Watkins Mill Field hockey looked to take down the Poolesville Falcons after a great win against the Magruder Colonels. The wolverines fought hard with goalie Bethany Hurt making 20+ saves in the game. Despite an all around great effort by the ‘Rines, they were unable to pick up the win, losing 7-0. The team looks to improve on their passing and finishing in the future.

Girls Tennis

‘Rines tennis played great but lost as whole against the Kennedy Cavaliers on Wednesday, October 4. Girls tennis improved their skills for their second-to-last match, concluding with two solo wins.

Although all four of the ‘Rines tennis players worked really hard, sophomore Maryam Abbas and senior Cienneh Siryon won their matches. “[Juniors Bianca Johnson and Josephine Oshagbemi] had really close games. They were disappointed at the loss, but they played well,” coach Kauri Martin said.
