The ECA Fair: Highlights Of Student Passion

From dance and music to science and advocacy, the ECA fair showcased just a few of Watkins Mill’s diverse talents.

Wolverine Women is dedicated to uniting the young women of Watkins Mill High School by bridging social divides and fostering a stronger community. They are inclusive and open to all individuals, regardless of gender. Their meetings take place in room B001.

The Science National Honors Society recognizes juniors and seniors with a strong passion for science through community service and labs. They are found in Ms. Bennet’s room in C206.

The computer programming club teaches students how to program and opens opportunities for students to use their programming skills. They are found in E106.

The Gender and Sexuality Alliance Club aims to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all students. They are found in Mr. Tarzwell’s room in A203.

Our marching band brings the groove to our school and supports our teams. Their sponsor is Mr. Keilar and is found in room T006

The French Honor Society recognizes students with interest in French and promote the learning of the language. They can be found in room C114

The Future Business Leaders is dedicated to preparing students in becoming community-minded leaders in business, technology, and more. They can be found in room C002.

The African Dance Team is dedicated to promoting African culture at Watkins Mill through Dance. An interest form can be found on their instagram, @wmhs_adt

The Minority Scholars Program is dedicated to advocating against discrimination and inequality. They can be found in room A200.

Immigrines 4 Reform is a chapter of Students For Asylum Immigration Reform. They advocate for immigrant rights and strive to build a strong community at Watkins Mill. Their sponsor is Mr. Schwartz and can be found in B108.

The Muslim Student Association is dedicated to creating a welcoming space for the Muslim students of Watkins Mill. They can be found in room B104.

Minds Matter is dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes mental health awareness, reduces stigma, and encourages open conversations for students. They can be found in room A200. Key Club is an international organization that provides students with opportunities to provide services, leadership opportunities, and build character.

The South Asian Student Association is dedicated to bring South Asian representation to Watkins Mill High School. They can be found in room C202. The Red Cross organization is a nationwide program aiming to help people in need and empowering students with life-saving knowledge, preparing their community for emergencies. They can be found in room E100.

Eco MoCo fosters student leadership through environmental education and advocacy projects with the goal of building a greener future. They can be found in C205.

OLAS is Watkins Mill’s very own Latin dance team and have a passion for bringing Latin culture to our community. Information about practices can be found on their instagram. @wmhs_olas

The Math National Honors Society recognizes mathematical excellence in students and fosters interest in the subject.The sponsors are Ms. Pearce and Mr. Korateng and can be found in room E101.

Aces is a college readiness programs that supports students in their college in career goals by providing mentorship, scholarship assistance, and career readiness training. Watkins Mill’s career readiness coach is Ms. Moxley and she can be found in room E207.

The STEP team creates rhythm and sounds using their body through synchronized movements, bringing African-American culture to Watkins Mill.

The Wellness Center is committed to helping students reach their full potential by offering coordinated medical care, quality counseling, and positive youth development. They can be found in room D104.
