On Tuesday, Juniors at Watkins Mill High School, along with students from several other high schools in the county, were invited to participate in the National College Fair (NACAC)—Montgomery County. The event took place from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. at the SoccerPlex in Boyds, MD.
Over 300 colleges from across the country were represented at the fair, allowing students to explore various potential schools for their college education.
One student in attendance, Vivian Urbana, shared her reason for attending the field trip.
“I wanted to learn about all the different schools there,” said Urbana, “I had specific questions about why I should choose their school over others. Is that school a good fit for my major? What’s the surrounding area like? These are questions I wanted answers to if I was considering attending!”
Students who attended collected flyers from the booths they visited, along with various school swag, such as pens, notebooks, and stickers.
Overall, most students found the experience enjoyable and encouraged future juniors to take advantage of the amazing opportunities provided by our school.
