On December 29, 2024, Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, passed away at the age of 100. His legacy will endure for generations. From founding the Carter Center, which focuses on human rights, to his extensive work with Habitat for Humanity and signing the Panama Canal treaties during his presidency, his list of accomplishments is immense. He was also awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 for his efforts in finding peaceful solutions to international conflicts. Carter leaves behind his four children and wife, who will carry on his passion for helping people both in the United States and around the world.
