Boys Basketball: Our boys basketball team is ready to start off this season with their first game on Friday, December 6th here at the Mill vs. the Paint Branch Panthers.
Coach James Lewis said, “We’re gonna have a successful season as our seniors lead the way.”
Girls Basketball: Our girls team is coached by History teacher Patrick Gaegler.
Gaegler said they are “very excited to get back out on the court, get into competitions,…and shock some people.” Their first home game will be Tuesday, December 10th at 7:15 pm against the Gaithersburg Trojans.
Bocce Allied Sports: The team is coached by Caitlin Fasano.
“I like to tell the kids that our job is to be nice and be a nice school and to have fun, but it also feels nice to win sometimes,” said Fasano, “We hope to see y’all there supporting our Bocce team.”
Indoor Track: They’re sprinting into action for this season with high spirits for their regional meet this February.
Coach Steven Sherrod is excited. “They are doing really well this year,” Sherrod said.
Poms: Our dancing Lady ‘Rines have an exciting season coming up this year, with their first competition on February 1st at Montgomery Blair High School.
Senior Captains Amy Flores and Samantha Ivette are looking forward to bonding with their team for their last season here at the Mill.
Cheerleading: Although their competition season just came to an end, Coach Jasmine Dero is eager for the upcoming season.
“We have a bunch of new faces on [the cheerleading] team, and there’s already positive, bonding environment,” said Dero.
Our cheerleaders are particularly excited about the basketball matches against Paint Branch, Clarksburg, and Magruder.
Wrestling: Our wrestling team’s first match is December 11th at 7:15 pm against the Churchill Bulldogs. This will be former state champion Jabea Ewane’s last season here at the Mill.
Although it’s her last year, she’s inspired many and has helped grow the team.
We hope to see you there supporting our Wolverine athletes!
