2024 Watkins Mill High School seniors are graduating this year on June 7th, at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC.
It’s that time of the year when seniors leave school early before all the other kids and graduates into the wonders of adulthood. Graduation is at the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC, on June 7th at 10am. Tickets are required and all graduates get 8 tickets. The student speakers for this year’s graduation are Katelyn Fuentes-Pineda and Roseline Oshagbemi.
Seniors, even though nervous, are excited to graduate. Senior John Riedel said, “I’m pretty excited to graduate, I’m trying to move on to the next step of life. I used to be kind of scared about it, but as I got closer and closer, I got more excited about it.”
Senior Kyler Martinez said, “I’m really excited but also really nervous because it’s a very exciting moment, especially because I’m graduating and it’s the end of a chapter in my life.”
When asked about her feelings of graduation, Senior Rabia Akvel said, “It’s mixed. I don’t want to go to school anymore, but I don’t want to become an adult yet. I’m happy with graduating but at the same time, I’m not happy since we’re going to college.”
“It’s weird. It’s kind of dreadful, but also it’s nice, but also scary,” Senior Sonia Thanicatt said. ”I like this school, and I’m going to be actually very sad to leave it because even with the reputation it has, it’s not a terrible place to be all the time.”
Enjoy the time off until graduation, we’ll miss you seniors.
