Books, books, and more books!
Hello again, If you can’t tell by now I loveeeeeeee reading books and I’m back again with my amazing opinions that are in no order and are 100 percent correct. I’ve talked about my top book icks, now it’s time for my favorite parts.
- Physical book vibes:
- Other than the fact that reading helps our brain and enhances our knowledge, it also helps reduce the amount of screen time we have. I love that feeling while I’m reading and I forget that I’m reading words on paper because I’m so immersed in it.
- Perfect endings:
- With reading comes multiple different endings but my absolute favorite has to be a “happily ever after.” What’s not to love about a perfect ending? This part could make or break the book. It’s the perfect closure you need from an amazing book and if the ending is horrible, it’ll ruin my entire view of that book.
- Plot twists:
- These are so significant because they make the story line so much better. Personally, I don’t usually spot things that easily in books. So basic plot twists get me all the time however the plot twists that come out of nowhere or from a character you would’ve never imagined it from. They just add that pizazz that’s needed to make a book great.
- Mixed Media and covers with a hidden meaning:
- Things like diary entries, maps, playlists, letters from characters and so much more fill me with so much joy because it makes reading more fun and it’s visually appealing. I love the creativity and that “OH” feeling when I realize the significance of the cover art.
- Dual Point of View (POV):
- I love a “What’s the other character thinking and feeling?” moment. Most of the time I want to know how they feel about other characters and the plot twists happening. The little details make everything better.
- The smell of new books:
- This might be a little weird but just like the new car smell, there’s a new book smell. Either paper or hardbacks, both have that new fresh smell that gets me excited to read.
- Short/thin books
-
- This one is a 50-50 because I don’t necessarily prefer short books, but I would rather pick up a short book than a book that looks like it has a whole library in it.
All in all, if you don’t agree with me then that’s a problem for someone else, because I’m never wrong. Till next time!
