Sports Wrap Up: May 1-5
Boys Volleyball
The ‘Rines opened up the final week of regular season games with a home match and a senior night celebration against the Blake Bengals. The ‘Rines delivered in emphatic fashion, ending in a 3-1 win.
The winning streak continued for the ‘Rines as they traveled to face the Northwood Gladiators, coming home with a dominant 3-0 win.
The ‘Rines earned the 13 seed in this year’s playoffs out of 25 teams and will go head-to-head at the home of the 4 seed Wootton Patriots on Monday, May 8 at 7 pm. This is a must-watch match, so go to GoFan and buy tickets to give the ‘Rines an extra push to the quarterfinals.
Coed Volleyball
The ‘Rines completed the senior night sweep of the Blake Bengals on Monday, May 1, winning 3-0.
The ‘Rines also traveled to face the Northwood Gladiators on Wednesday, May 3, taking the game to a tie-breaking 5th set, but unfortunately losing 3-2.
Boys Lacrosse
The ‘Rines started the last week of the regular season with an away game against the Whitman Vikings on Tuesday, May 2. The game ended in a loss of 29-1.
The ‘Rines continued their week with the final game of the regular season on Thursday, May 4 against the Kennedy Cavaliers. The ‘Rines played their hearts out for the home fans and delivered an emphatic 12-2 win.
The ‘Rines will play in the playoffs soon, so be sure to come out and support the ‘Rines in their playoff run.
Girls Lacrosse
The Lady ‘Rines finished off their regular season this week, first against the Whitman Vikings on Tuesday, May 2, which ended in a 17-0 loss.
The final game of the season for the Lady ‘Rines came on Wednesday, May 3 against the Kennedy Cavaliers, ending in a nail-biting 15-14 loss.

The ‘Rines played out their final game of the season on Monday, May 1 against the Quince Orchard Cougars, ending in a 7-0 loss.
The ‘Rines end their season with an 8-4 (wins-losses) record.
Softball
The Lady ‘Rines began their week with an away game against the Walter Johnson Wildcats on Monday, May 1. The game ended in a 17-0 loss.
The week continued for the Lady ‘Rines as they traveled to face the Northwood Gladiators on Wednesday, May 3. The Lady ‘Rines came home with an emphatic 21-10 win, their third of the season.
The Lady ‘Rines play their penultimate regular season game tonight at home against the Blake Bengals at 5:15 pm. Come out and show some school spirit as the Lady ‘Rines push towards the playoffs.
Baseball
The ‘Rines kicked off their busy week with a game against the Northwood Gladiators on Wednesday, May 3. The game ended in a tough loss of 15-2.
The ‘Rines continued their week with a home game against the Blake Bengals on Thursday, May 4, ending in a 1-0 loss.
Finally, the ‘Rines will play tomorrow, May 6, at 2:30 pm at the home of the Northwest Jaguars. Be sure to come out and show the ‘Rines some love this weekend.
