Best spring break hangout spots

Sanjay Fernando

These Spring Break hotspots are sure to fill up your schedule with lots of fun throughout the next week.

With spring break coming up, here are a couple of destinations in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia areas to try new foods, have fun, and take cute pictures. These places will be sure to bring some sunshine to this rainy April weather. Here are five top places to do this:

Pike and Rose

Pike and Rose is a destination in Northern Bethesda. It is around a 30-minute drive from here. Once there there are many options of restaurants with different types of cuisines and price ranges. There is also a grass area in the center of all this where you can take pictures but anywhere in this area, there is a cute picturesque vibe all over the place.

Iron Age

Iron Age is in Rockville, and about a 25-minute drive. This is a Korean BBQ restaurant with all-you-can-eat meats and seafood, along with some vegetables. After this, you can eat a selection of meats and you are a short 5-minute drive from Crumbl Cookies to enjoy dessert.

Cherry Blossoms

A staple to the Washington D.C area every springtime, the cherry blossoms garner large crowds due to their beautiful light pink color and the Instagram-worthy photos that can be taken. Located around the Tidal Basin and the National Mall the blossoms provide picturesque and tranquil views.

Museums

In several museums and galleries also including the National Zoo, there is so much to be learned when visiting any Smithsonian institution. From the National Museum of American History to the International Spy Museum there is a wide variety of museums to visit in the D.C area that will not only educate but amaze as well.

Glen Echo Park

Located in the Glen Echo area near Washington D.C. This abandoned amusement park looks straight out of the 1960s although nature has taken over some parts it still holds this charming feel to it. There are also art exhibits and a small aquarium to enjoy your time. Check out their website to learn more about these exhibits.

We know it is difficult finding activities to do while there is still a pandemic but we hope this list helped you figure out a way to enjoy your spring break.
