The seniors celebrated their last year of high school with the first-ever Senior Wars here on Friday, February 25 during the fourth period. Prizes were given out, games were played, and fun was had by all.
“I love this class, everybody knows everybody, and [the senior wars] really show the camaraderie between all of us,” senior Jake Posada said.
The games included tug-of-war, a three-point shooting contest, red-light green-light, a relay race, musical chairs, and a wheelbarrow race.
The eventual champion of the three-point shooting contest, senior Josh Derosier celebrated his dominant victory over his fellow basketball teammates seniors Devin Brackenridge and Arhin, receiving a gift card.
“This proves 100% that I’m the best shooter on the team,” Derosier said. “I’d also like to thank the staff and class council for letting us do something like this.”
Members of the Class of 2022 Council amped up the crowd by giving away candies, t-shirts, and gift cards throughout the event.
