The Beginning of Spring Sports Season
Leaves are growing, the days are slowly becoming longer, and nights become shorter. Spring is coming! As the winter sports season winds down, we look ahead to the spring sports 2022 season.
Baseball
The coach for the varsity baseball team is Eric Scheller and the junior varsity team coach is Patrick Stine.
Softball
The junior varsity and varsity coach of softball this spring season is Paul Vance Jr. This year’s softball team is excited to start their season with new and old players alike. “[We want to] go out and give it our hardest, we have a lot of new members but if we keep practicing like we are now I expect great things this season,” junior Sarah Bamba said.
Girls Lacrosse
The girl’s lacrosse varsity coaches are Erin Yates and Melissa Brigham.
Boys Lacrosse
This year’s boy lacrosse coach is Brian Lanham for varsity and junior varsity.
“This season I just want to be able to have fun and enjoy my last year with the team,” senior Bryant Oliva said. “It feels great being able to have a proper season this year after missing out so much because of COVID.”
Track
Steven Schaired is this year’s varsity coach. They’re excited about this upcoming season and aim to reach their utmost potential.
Boys Tennis
This season’s boys tennis coach is Peter Kielar.
Girls Tennis
The girl’s tennis coach this year is Lakiesha Lowery. These ‘Rines are ready to crush this season.
Boys & Coed Volleyball
This years highly anticipated of boy’s and coed volleyball season will led by coach Michael Brown.
“[Our goal this season is] to grow as a team. You can only do so much as an individual but we’re a team” junior Diego Umana said.
Allied Softball
Allied softball will be led by coach Casey Burdette. Make sure to pop out to these games and support your fellow ‘Rines.
