Sports Wrap-Up: February 4-10
Boys Basketball
The ‘Rines hosted the Northwood High School Gladiators on Friday, February 4. The game ended in a 60-53 win, their second win of the season.
“It feels great knowing I can compete with guys bigger than me and knowing that my coaches believe in me,” said freshman Hasaan Nazir, “I still have a few more years of basketball so it’s a great opportunity to get better.”
The ‘Rines will travel to face the Wootton High School Patriots tonight. Spectator capacity has increased to 50% and tickets will be available on GoFan, so make sure to come out and help the ‘Rines to a win.
Girls Basketball
The Lady ‘Rines also hosted the Northwood High School Gladiators on Friday, February 4. The game unfortunately ended in a 45-25 loss.
The Lady ‘Rines played a game against the Damascus High School Hornets on Wednesday, February 9. The ‘Rines fought well, but unfortunately fell 41-18.
The Lady ‘Rines are away tonight against the Wootton High School Patriots, make sure to buy tickets on GoFan and support the team.
Swim and Dive
On Saturday, February 5, the Swim and Dive team had their divisional meet. The ‘Rines ended up in 6th place overall with a score of 530.
Some of the ‘Rines will be participating in Metros this Saturday, February 12 at Martin Luther King Swim Center.
Make sure to congratulate the swimmers whose season has ended and the swimmers who are moving further in their season.
