How to Prepare for Spider-Man: No Way Home
It’s finally here! But are you ready to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home? Follow these simple steps to be sure you don’t miss out on this next installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Steps 1: Buy tickets –
The first step in any good movie experience is to get tickets to the movie. Tickets are pretty much sold out for the first few days, so if you haven’t gotten them yet, you’ll have to preorder them for after the opening weekend. Tickets can be bought on almost any movie ticket website, including Fandango and Atom Tickets.
Step 2: Watch the original Tobey Maguire Spider-Man Trilogy –
Once you have your tickets, you’ll need to see some of the earlier Spider-Man movies for some background. The best way to start is with Tobey Maguire’s original Spider-Man trilogy. Maguire was the first actor to really bring the character to life, and if you haven’t seen this trilogy before, it’s pretty much a necessity (especially after the highly publicized rumor of the previous Spider-Man’s return to the big screen).
Step 3: Watch both of the Andrew Garfield Amazing Spider-Man movies –
Unlike the other two versions of Spider-Man, there are only two Amazing Spider-Man movies, and they’re both great. Garfield did an amazing job playing Spider-Man, and the cinematography is incredible (skip this step if you’re an Emma Stone fan).
Step 4: Watch Doctor Strange –
Even if you’re the biggest Marvel fan and you’ve seen this movie before, it’s still a great one, and can help you get a refresher on the character. Doctor Strange is set to return in No Way Home so if you haven’t seen it, carve out 115 minutes somewhere in your schedule and hop on Disney+.
Step 5: Watch the first two Tom Holland MCU Spider-Man movies –
Besides buying tickets and actually watching the movie, this is the most important step in preparing for No Way Home. If you haven’t seen these two, do it as soon as you can. This will help you best understand what’s going on, connect to these characters, and they’re also just great movies to watch in general.
Step 6: Watch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse –
This step is kind of unnecessary, but given that it’s one of the greatest animated movies of all time (it won Best Animated Feature at the Academy Awards!) it is definitely worth a watch. It’s not a part of the current storyline, but it will give you a good idea of what’s going to be happening during No Way Home, and who knows maybe one day they’ll have a crossover!
Step 7: Watch and Enjoy Spider-man: No Way Home –
Congratulations! You’ve properly prepared yourself for the movie. Now sit back, sneak in snacks, and enjoy the highly anticipated movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home.
