I enjoy reading The Current, no question. However, as much as I enjoy reading about the fall sports and their victories and loses, how hard students and coaches work, I can’t fail to notice that you never feature or even mention the team of Allied Sports at WMHS. Why? Is it because the students that make up the team required special education or because nobody else but the players and their coaches know it exists? It could be said that they work as hard (or even harder) as any other student at any other sport. Do you know they play Handball in the Fall, Bocce in the Winter and Softball in the Spring? Do you know that they were unable to play handball games against other schools this fall but that a great group of teachers came together to give them the experience, the joy to play the sport they have been training for at the end of the season? I bet that I would not be the only person wanting and waiting to see their news in The Current.

Hi! We’re actually working on a feature on the Allied Handball season. Because the team did not play regular games, we did not cover them in the weekly wrap-ups, but we will address the staff game in the feature. Thank you so much for reading!
