Sports Wrap Up: January 24
Girls Basketball
Girls basketball came up with a win against the Magruder Colonels yesterday, January 23, with a score of 52-40. The Wolverines are proud to say that they improved on their communication, ball movement, and working as a team, but hope to improve on being more aggressive and penetrating to the basket more at their game this Friday, January 26 against the Seneca Valley Falcons. Go ‘Rines!
Boys Basketball
The boys basketball team fell yesterday to the Magruder Colonials yesterday, January 23, by a final score of 46-35.
“[The game] didn’t go as well as we thought it would,” said junior Tyshawn Akers. “We need to work on playing more as a team, and come out with the same intensity from the first half into the second.”
The ‘Rines look to regain their winning ways against Sencea Valley High school this Friday, January 26 at 7:15pm here at home, so come out and support.
