Field Hockey

The Rines went up against the Northwest Jaguars on their senior night yesterday, October 16. The Rines’ put up a great effort against the Jaguars but fell 0-5. The Rines had impeccable defense the second half holding Northwest to only one goal, keeping the ball on offense most of the half. The night was filled with emotion with 12 seniors leaving.

Last Friday, October 13, ‘Rines field hockey went up against the Seneca Valley Screamin’. The game was hard fought by both teams, as the score was still 0-0 after regulation. The game then went into overtime where only 7 players are allowed on the field and the first team to score wins. Neither team scored at the end of both overtimes and the game went into a stroke. Junior  Yesenia Albright scored in the stroke, but her goal was matched by Seneca Valley, ending the game in a tie. .

The team now looks forward to the postseason, and the playoff drawing is this Thursday, October 19.
