Golf

The ‘Rines golf team won their second straight match to finish out the season this past Thursday at Needwood Golf Course against three other schools: Paint Branch, Wheaton and Kennedy high school.

The golf team finished out the season with a shutout at their last match against all three of the teams. Coach Richard Riley said, “Everyone on the team, individually did really well and even some of our players shot their personal bests. When you have a full team some really good things can happen out there.”

With an impressive season, three out of the four players on the team will be competing in the District County tournament on Monday, so come out and support.

Volleyball

Varsity volleyball takes another hit as they lost their game yesterday against Gaithersburg High School 3-0. Volleyball looks to seek their second win Tuesday, October 3 at their Dig Pink game against Damascus High School.

Their Dig Pink game is to create awareness against breast cancer. Show support by coming out and wearing pink. “We’re excited to play and be of some help by raising money and awareness. We hope to play well with the big crowd in attendance,” senior Daad Gabbani said.

Football

Watkins Mill Football played another successful game against the Rockville Rams September 28 with a winning score of 49-12.

After their last game against the Seneca Valley Eagles, the Wolverines came out with a whole new mindset looking stronger and more energetic than ever. Despite a few errors the ‘Rines kept a positive attitude throughout the entire game.
